Kerman Motor is pursuing a roadmap to develop Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) from Level 1 through Level 3. The company’s roadmap includes technologies such as adaptive cruise control, traffic-jam assistance, and semi-autonomous driving capabilities.

Kerman Motor’s Board of Directors’ activity report indicates that, in addition to developing gasoline, hybrid, and electric vehicles, the automaker is also focusing on improving occupant safety and comfort and aligning its products with technological developments in the global automotive industry.

Accordingly, Kerman Motor has developed a structured plan for implementing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in its future products, with these technologies scheduled to be introduced and developed progressively across the company’s vehicle lineup.

Kerman Motor Began with Level 1 ADAS

As the first step, in 2025 (1404), systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), High-Beam Recognition, and Automatic High-Beam Assist were added to the company’s vehicles at Level 1.

This phase can be regarded as Kerman Motor’s first step toward developing advanced driver-assistance technologies—systems designed to improve safety and enhance the driving experience and comfort of occupants.

Development of Level 2 ADAS Technologies

In the next phase, Kerman Motor has included the development of Level 2 ADAS technologies in its roadmap.

According to the Board of Directors’ activity report, this stage will include technologies such as Blind Spot Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Monitoring, and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB).

Together, these technologies can provide a higher level of intelligent assistance to the driver under various driving conditions and bring Kerman Motor’s vehicles another step closer to more advanced driver-assistance systems.

2026: Moving Toward ADAS Level 2+

According to the announced roadmap, Kerman Motor will continue developing driver-assistance capabilities in 2026 (1405) and, by moving toward Level 2+, plans to introduce more advanced technologies into its products.

At this stage, Kerman Motor vehicles are expected to be equipped with technologies such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) system.

The combination of these technologies can simplify certain driving tasks for the driver under specific conditions and provide users with a higher level of intelligent driving assistance.

Targeting Level 3 Driver-Assistance Technology by 2028

Kerman Motor’s Board of Directors’ activity report also outlines the company’s target of achieving Level 3 ADAS capabilities by 2028 (1407).

Accordingly, features such as Automated Parking and semi-autonomous vehicle guidance in traffic conditions are included in the development roadmap.

This plan demonstrates that, alongside the development of proprietary platforms and new products, Kerman Motor is also pursuing the transition toward intelligent vehicle technologies and higher levels of vehicle automation.

Kerman Motor’s Road from ADAS to Semi-Autonomous Vehicles

Kerman Motor’s driver-assistance technology roadmap indicates that the company intends to progressively increase the level of intelligent technology incorporated into its vehicles.

The journey began with Level 1 capabilities in 2025, followed by the development of Level 2 and Level 2+ technologies, with the ultimate goal of achieving Level 3 by 2028.

The technologies included in this roadmap consist of:

It should be noted, however, that ADAS technologies are not the same as fully autonomous vehicles. The company’s Level 3 target represents a move toward more automated and semi-autonomous driving under specific and controlled conditions, rather than fully autonomous operation under all circumstances.

Overall, Kerman Motor’s Board of Directors’ activity report indicates that, alongside the development of new products and its three indigenous platforms—PS1, KP1, and KP2—the automaker is pursuing a phased program to enhance safety and driver-assistance technologies.

If the announced plans are successfully implemented, this roadmap will lead by 2028 to the development of Kerman Motor vehicles equipped with more advanced ADAS capabilities and semi-autonomous driving technologies.
