The founding of Bam Automotive Company in the Arg-e Jadid Special Economic Zone and transforming this region into an industrial hub for vehicle manufacturing has produced outcomes beyond initial expectations in southeastern Iran. Bam Automotive is the first private sector company in the country to initiate a joint partnership with a reputable global automaker.
Since 2003 (1382), the Bam automotive plant has been constructed on a 208,975 square meter site with an annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles in its first phase. The body shop spans 35,000 square meters, with a body shop feeding area of 270,000 square meters; the paint shop covers 48,000 square meters; the trim shop measures 35,000 square meters, and the trim feeding area covers 270,000 square meters. The annual production capacity of this plant is planned to increase to 400,000 vehicles in the second phase.
